The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) announced April 26 that it would resume on-site compliance monitoring reviews May 1. IHDA idled its on-site reviews for more than three years due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Reviews include management occupancy reviews, tenant file reviews, rental housing support audits, and physical and capital improvement inspections.


The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee updated its online compliance manual in April. The manual provides a foundational understanding of the low-income housing tax credit, explains the responsibilities of participants, regulations, qualifying tenants, compliance monitoring and more.


In April, the Arizona Department of Housing issued its updated Weatherization Health and Safety Plan. The plan covers a bevy of health and safety considerations, including budgeting, incidental repair measures, home assessment and more as well as detailing types of concerns such as fire hazards, fuel leaks, mold and moisture, alarms, extinguishers and more.
